Day 125: Camping in the Rain

Miles: 0
Camping: Timothy Lake, 3 miles from PCT mile 2088

Today I woke up to rain, and I knew it meant I would not be making any progress. Sometimes, it is that easy to keep from hiking; sometimes, I'm just looking for a reason to stay put. I haven't taken a day off since I began Oregon, so why not here? It's a camping in the rain kind of zero, and I like it.

I am going to take the day off from blogging as well. It's the kind of day where I just want to hang out with cool people in a beautiful place, and just be.

Until tomorrow...here is the one picture I took.

  1. The place looks so serene. No wonder you wanted to stay put and keep from hiking that day. Well, it was raining anyway. So, I think it was a good idea to postpone the hike for a day, and just stay in the camp in and enjoy the rain. Kudos to your many adventures!
