Day 23: A Zero in Wrightwood

Miles: 0
Camping: in a bed!!

Not much to write on a zero day. Stayed with amazing people, had a big homemade breakfast made by #1 (I chopped veggies), bonded with a beautiful and intelligent 2 year old (she corrected my sign language!), had great conversation with trail angel/new friend Teresa and #1, walked into town, ate a Rueben and a salad, shopped for trail snacks, hung out with the AT crew, traded an hour of babysitting for some lavender oil (great for so many hiker ailments), wrote this long (run-on?) sentence, went to sleep. Back to the ol' dusty tomorrow for a mountain climb up Baden-Powell and then take it easy on the feet on my way to hiker heaven. Low miles, big smiles.

Special thanks to trail angels Teresa, Ryan and Skyler! It has been such a pleasure to meet you and spend time in your wonderful home with your beautiful family! Enjoy the rest of hiker season, you guys are fantastic!

Goodnight!

Hope your tootsies are feeling better and that you are renewed and refreshed for your trek to Hiker's Heaven! I've seen pictures and it looks like a great place to hang! Mrs. Saufley (sp?) is from Providence, RI! Take care m'dear!

    Much Love,
